Overcast skies didn’t prevent nearly 300 racers from participating in Stage 1 of the 10-day Tour of America’s Dairyland sponsored by Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board. The Blue Mounds Race of the Future presented Trek kicked off the inaugural Tour of America’s Dairyland on a proposed course for the 2016 Olympics featuring a 22-mile loop throughout Blue Mounds State Park with considerable climbs.

In its inaugural year, the Tour of America’s Dairyland presented by Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board will come out of the gate featuring a Pro Women’s race at every venue, June 19-28.
The new, professionally-produced cycling series will host two road races and seven criteriums in eight Wisconsin cities.

Registration is now open for the inaugural Tour of America’s Dairyland, which will feature a combination of crits and road races across eight Wisconsin cities, June 19-28, 2009. The Tour of America’s Dairyland presented by Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board will feature an attractive base of cash prizes and primes for pro and amateur men and women athletes in multiple categories.
