Team Colavita|Bianchi p/b Fine Cooking lined up for the 9th annual Dana Point Gran Prix Sunday afternoon. This was the third stop on the NCC calendar and Colavita/Bianchi was hungry for the victory. The race was held in downtown Dana Point on a beautiful sunny afternoon with over 50 starters. The L – shaped course that went for .8 miles played into the hands of the Colavita/Bianchi team as they looked to put pressure on the other teams by sending off steady stream of attacks throughout the race. In the final laps of the race the team looked to be in good position to deliver sprinter Erica Allar. Allar was able to hold position through the final laps and luckily avoided a pile up that unfortunately took out Morgan Brown. Allar was first wheel through the final corner and unleashed her sprint to grab the first team win for the 2015 season.
