Winter Park & Fraser Chamber announce end-of-summer August Events

Don’t let summer vacation season end without taking a trip to Winter Park – Colorado’s Favorite Playground! The area boasts a festival or event every weekend during the summer. Music, wine and beer are all on tap in August. For a complete list of events in the Winter Park area, check out the Winter Park Calendar.

  • Aug. 4, 11 & 18: High-Note Thursdays presented by Real Estate of Winter Park. Kicking off the weekend events, these free concerts are held on Thursdays from 6-8 p.m. at the outdoor amphitheater in Hideaway Park. The concert series is presented by Real Estate of Winter Park and is part of the Odell Brewing Co. Summer Concert Series. Aug. 4 features The D Town Hot Shots. On Aug. 11 it’s DeadPhish Orchestra as a kick-off to the Leftover Salmon’s SolShine Music Festival. Things wrap up on Aug. 18 with Shakedown Street, a Grateful Dead tribute band.
  • Aug. 6: Winter Park Beer Festival The 7th Annual Winter Park Beer Festival features some of the best breweries from across Colorado served up alongside live music. New this year: attendees who have pre-purchased tickets will earn exclusive access to tastings from 12-1 p.m. Breweries are bringing special brews for just this hour. Tickets start at $15 for general admission.
  • Aug. 12-13: Leftover Salmon’s Winter Park SolShine Music Festival presented by Devil’s Thumb Ranch
    Fan favorite Leftover Salmon returns to headline the 6th Annual SolShine Music Festival that takes place at the Hideaway Park outdoor amphitheater. Leftover Salmon will play two shows, and The Record Company and Trout Steak Revival will also perform. DeadPhish Orchestra kicks things off on August 11 as part of the High-Note Thursdays free concerts in Hideaway Park.
  • Aug. 20: Winter Park Uncorked Wine Festival
    This event, which starts at noon and ends at 5 p.m. in Hideaway Park, returns to for its second year. The event is part of the Odell Brewing Co. Summer Concert Series. Attendees will enjoy wine tastings, food samples, a champagne cork-off and live music with the Andy Hackbarth Band. VIP tickets are $55 and include a private lunch with acoustic music by Weston Smith. General admission tickets are $35 (ticket prices increase by $5 the day of the event).
  • Aug. 27: Winter Park Music Festival
    This free show is sponsored by Denver radio station 103.5 The Fox and invites visitors to rock out at 9,000 feet! The fun starts at 12:30 p.m. and wraps up at 6 p.m. This year’s headliner is Vince Neil of Mötley Crüe. The Rick Lewis Project and Great White will also perform.
