1403_matte_black_happy_bronze_lSPY® is happy to introduce the Fold—a foldable sunglass inspired by SPY’s John John Florence. As a pro surfer, John John has life on the road down pat: pack tight and travel light. With this in mind, John John and SPY designed the multi-hinged Fold frame, which “folds” up to fit neatly in it’s pouch or a pocket without fear of getting lost or scratched.

“I spend a lot of my time traveling, and I wanted a sunglass that I could pretty much take anywhere,” says John John. “The Fold is easy to pack and it won’t get mangled with all my gear. Plus, it comes with a rad pouch that doubles as a .”

The Fold is custom-built from virtually indestructible Grilamid™ and features a bridge hinge, 5-barrel hinges at the frame and temple, and mid-temple pin hinges for quick folding and stowing, as well as 6-base curve polycarbonate lenses, 100% UV protection and a custom, collapsible pouch with a slot for cards.

“John John has a unique style that’s both classic and cutting edge, so we worked together to design a folding glass that embodied this,” says Juliette Koh, SPY product director. “The Fold’s vintage styling exhibits strong and masculine lines, and one of the colorways features the innovative new Happy ™ technology.”

The latest addition to SPY’s versatile line, the Fold will feature SPY’s revolutionary new Happy Lens™ technology—an innovative lens designed tolet in the sun’s “good” rays that promote balance in the body—fostering a positive uplift in mood and alertness—while simultaneously blocking the “bad” rays. As an added bonus, it’s also a polarized and color contrast-enhancing lens, giving you the best visual experience possible.

Hitting stores this week, the Fold is available in three colorways—Matte Black with Happy Bronze Polar w/Black Mirror Lens, Matte Black with Bronze w/Red Spectra™ Lens, and Matte Black with Grey Lens. MSRP for the Fold ranges from $120 to $180.
