Reynolds Cycling releases new wheelset for a gravel grinder crowd

Designed in response to the growing popularity of gravel riding and cyclocross racing, the fiber ATR  offers cyclists an optionthat performs well in all conditions, and keeps going even when the smooth pavement ends.

“When designing these , we wanted to create the ultimate tool for these all terrain that are sporting disc , thru axles and more capable geometries,” said Rob Aguero, Marketing Manager at Reynolds Cycling. “The ATRs give riders the ability to run more powerful disc brakes and a tubless set up, all on a rim that will be able to handle whatever they can throw at them, without sacrificing weight or .”

Freed from the requirement to support rim brakes, the ATR is able to deliver a wider profile rim that allows it run wider with potentially lower rolling resistance. The wider design also adds durability on rougher and loose terrain.

The ATR is also a tubeless clincher design, allowing riders to run lower tire pressure for additional traction while at the same time helping to prevent flats. Tubeless road combined with carbon rims provide a very comfortable ride for those all day adventures. The wheel uses 24 spoke count with straight pull lacing for low weight and enhanced compliance. Reynolds will be debuting the ATR Disc Brakes at the North American Handmade Show (NAHBS) this March 6th-8that the Kentucky International Convention Center at booth #407.
