Arizona’s State Bicycle Co. is back with an updated Contender II series of fixed gear bikes.  The second coming of the Contender builds off of the success of one of the brand’s best selling bikes.
New features on the Contender II are a Reynolds 520 Chromoly Steel frame, an upgrade from the 4130 grade Chromoly used on the original, and a two color paint scheme. Out front, Essor USA provides the carbon fiber fork with an aluminum steerer. The rest of the build, which has been popular amongst State’s customers, remains the same as the original.

The Contender II slots itself as a fast commuter and a means to get you started on the track. Riders that are looking to get more serious on the velodrome or at the Red Hook Crit, will want to look to the 6061 Black Label or the Undefeated.
At $649.00, the Contender II is higher priced than some competitors, but also features a higher spec. State also offers a five-year warranty on the frame, two-year on Essor USA products, and one-year on the remaining non-consumable parts.
