For Zwift, to help support Movember, users can join the in-game mission and start racking up the time riding to support the cause. Missions are goals that Zwift creates each month that help you earn jerseys in their digital world. The goal for the user is to hit 9.9 hours of riding or running, which represents the 9.9 million people living with prostate cancer globally. If 10,000 users can complete the mission, Zwift will donate $25,000 USD to Movember.
“Movember is a globally recognized organization doing great work to combat prostate cancer, testicular cancer and suicide prevention,” says Eric Min Zwift CEO and Co-Founder. “These are serious issues that affect not only those who have been diagnosed, but also those around them – families, friends, and co-workers. This is the start of a bigger year-round charity support initiative, so stay tuned for more events in support of great causes over the next 12 months.”
To join the mission, log into Zwift as you normally would, and look for the challenge to appear. Click to join, and start your workouts.
To help motivate users, Zwift will also be holding Mo’ events throughout the month, allowing riders and runners to work out in the 100% digital kit before they have earned it, giving them a taste of what success will be like.
