Whether you have heard of Velo Saddles or not, you have probably ridden their saddles, and possibly bar tape and mountain bike grips. They are the global leader in OEM/ODM saddle manufacturing, along with having their own line under that Velo brand name. We’ve covered their Angel saddles, and have some new models we are wrapping reviews on, along with their bar tape. Along with sponsoring teams like Twenty24 Pro Cycling and Elevate Webiplex Pro Cycling, they have opened up an ambassador program that is now accepting applications.

Velo was founded by Stella Yu in 1979 with the goal of creating the best saddles for the most demanding cyclists. Over the last 42 years, Velo Enterprises has grown into the world’s largest saddle, bar tape, and grip manufacturer, making saddles for many brands all over the world. In 2008, they launched the Velo brand to continue to push innovation and technology. With saddles of all shapes and sizes, the Angel lin is the brand’s flagship model, available in multiple lengths, widths, colors, and rail materials. It features their Y Cut base that provides comfort and ventilation, while also reducing pressure on sensitive areas. The Angel and Prevail saddle lines have become my personal favorite and can be found on all of my personal bikes when not reviewing other saddles.

Ambassadors will be supported in their riding adventures with product and gear, with Velo looking for content, feedback, and enthusiasm about the brand in return. Positive and negative feedback will be used in development of current and future products.
