Team CLIF Bar Cycling heads into the USA Crits finals on the US-made VYNL Road Disc

With Conor Mullervy sitting third in the USA Crits rankings going into the final event of the year, Team CLIF Bar Cycling is one of the most experienced teams in the series.

Team Cycling is also the only D1 team to race on a USA-made, hand built aluminum frame. After last year’s hiatus from racing, Team CLIF debuted the 2021 season on the new VYNL Road Disc team frames, proving that aluminum construction can be raced successfully at the highest level. With a condensed season of rigorous travel, the aluminum frames have proven to be durable and tough. Dents and dings happen while on the road and the VYNL frame takes . There’s also pride in racing a hand built team frame. It harks back to American street track racing’s roots.

“It helps to show people that they don’t need to spend a fortune on a frame that is possibly more likely to break if it hits the ground. These are perfect crit machines” says Conor Mullery of Team CLIF Bar Cycling.

Team CLIF Bar Cycling has raced VYNL team frames in the past, but this was their first season on the new Road Disc model. The braking ability, increased stiffness and added response was highly welcomed by the team. Team racers boast of more in each lap, more reliability in wet weather and confidence when holding a line into a corner. Team is also attributed to build kits thanks to the team’s partners: ENVE Composites, Precision Components, and more.

The VYNL Road Disc is currently available in 21 color choices and with a two to six week turnaround. Frames start at $1750.00 USD and can be ordered with a ENVE Road Disc 2.0 fork and King Inset 8 headset.
