For Fizik, the Argo is their short-nosed saddle. As the trend has been, brands are offering short nose saddles, helping keep riders planted without the need to move around as much as a traditional length saddle. Along with endurance (Tempo) and gravel versions (Terra), the Italian brand is now offering their lightest racing version (Vento) yet, the Vento Argo 00.

I’ve personally become a convert to the short nose saddle over the recent years. Though it is with a different brand, Fizik’s Argo has proven to be pretty popular across a range of disciplines. With three price points for each Argo series (entry-level 5, mid-level 3, and performance-level 1), the Vento Argo 00 is the first to hit the brand’s range-topping 00 level super saddles. These feature the lightest weights and top-level features.
The Vento Argo 00 uses a high-mod, full carbon fiber shell and their one-piece Mobius Loop Rail for stiffness and a low claimed weight of just 134g or 139g, depending on width. Up top, it features injected EVA padding for comfort but again keeping weight in mind. No word on the cover material, but it will probably follow other OO saddles using a vacuum applied cover.
The shell features a cutout out to help relieve pressure in the sensitive areas, but still provides support to the sit bones. The Vento Argos 00 is designed for racing and aggressive geometries, providing additional support in the nose for the pubic ramus when the pelvis is rotated forward during aggressive riding. This support allows you to put down more power when in an aero position.

The 00 will be available in 140mm and 150mm widths. The length remains the same at 265mm. You’ll potentially see it raced this year under riders from Ag2R-Citroen, Ineos Grenadiers, Team Jumbo-Visma, and Team Movistar.
Available now, the Vento Argo 00 comes in at $275/ £275/ €275. The 00 commands a $50 premium over the R1, with a claimed weight savings of 40g.
