Lapierre returns to Elite XC competition

11 years after its withdrawal from elite XC competition, is returning to the highest level of world XC mountain biking with the LAPIERRE MAVIC Unity team with the to shine in the biggest on the UCI XCO and XCC circuit. These disciplines have become spectacular and popular once again, attracting more and more spectators and television viewers thanks to the evolution of its tracks and television coverage.

Hot off the team’s official team launch last week, Malen Degn takes a first-place finish last weekend at the Super Cup – MASSI in La Nucia, Spain. Capped off by grabbing a bronze, this team will be on fire this season so keep a close eye on them. They will be piloting their Lapierre XR (see it below) clad with the FSA KFX cranks/stem and .

Women’s Team

  • (Denmark) – 8th at the last European and World Championships in 2022
  • Annie Last (England) Annie Last – Runner-up in the XC Marathon World Championships in 2022
  • Isaure Medde  (France) – World in the XC Eliminator in 2020 and runner-up in the French U23 Championship in 2021 and 2022.

Men’s Team

  • Sebastian Fini Carstensen (Denmark) – Seven-time Danish champion and two-time 2021/2022 European XCO vice-champion
  • Litscher (Switzerland) – 2022 XCC World Championship bronze medallist
  • Erik Haegstad (Norway) – 2021 Norwegian XCO and XCC champion
