As Peter Sagan (Team TotalEnergies) celebrates his final year of racing, Specialized is helping to celebrate and offering you a chance to win a one-of-a-kind prize.
Sagan has a storied career that includes multiple world championships and plenty of special moments to remember, maybe one we’d like to forget. He has entertained fans with his charisma, his jokester personality, but also with those moments in some of the biggest races where he seemed almost superhuman.
Starting with the Tour of Flanders, Specialized is creating a custom Evade III and Prevail III helmets to celebrate some of the greatest moments of his career. For each race, they will create two helmets, one for Peter, and one for a lucky fan to have a chance to win. Sagan’s first monument win was Flanders back in 2016, which also happened to be the 100th anniversary of the event. Draped in the rainbow stripes of his second of three straight world championships, he launched on the Kwaremont. Sep Vanmarcke was the only rider able to follow, but only until the Paterberg where Sagan surged again. He rode off on his own for the final 13km and took the victory. After the race, when asked why he launched as early as he did.
“Nobody wants to work with me. It’s always better to drop everybody,” responded Sagan.
For the Flanders helmet, the Specialized design team took the 100th anniversary as their starting point, adding the golden hues on the S-Works Evade III. The text, “Drop Everyone” evokes that famous quote.
Now, you probably already missed our on Flanders, but keep an eye out on Specialized and Sagan‘s Instagram feeds for your chance to win at the next big race.
