Teased earlier this year, Velo officially introduced their new Angel Revo Halo saddle. The newest edition to the Angel line includes expanded thermoplastic polyurethane foam (ETPU), which provides yet another option to help riders find just the right cushion and support for their ride.
Joining the original Angel, Angel TT, and nitrogen-infused Atmos Foam Angel Revo saddles, the Revo Halo brings a type of foam that has been used successfully in the sneaker industry to provide improved comfort, shock absorption, and durability. The new saddle will be available in titanium rails and follows along with Angel TT and Angel Revo shape at a length of 248mm and 148mm in width.

ETPU is created by heating and expanding thermoplastic polyurethane pellets in a mold under pressure. These pellets are what give it a unique look. What you get is a lightweight foam that is flexible and compresses and rebounds quickly. This helps to reduce the impact of bumps and vibrations, making for a very comfortable ride. The saddle adapts to the contours of your body, providing a personalized fit that reduces pressure points, promotes blood circulation, and helps prevent numbness and discomfort. All of this makes ETPU Halo Foam very well-suited for endurance gravel and road events.

The rest of the saddle uses proven technology from the Senso TT and Angel TT lines. The EuphoraBase uses a non-petroleum-based hybrid bioplastic made from plant-based materials and glass fiber. It includes the Y-cutout for additional pressure relief of sensitive areas. The patented Atmos Shaping technology wraps the cover into the shell to hide the seam and keep the saddle waterproof and makes for easier cleaning of the saddle shell. The Omnicover is made from recycled polyurethane (PU) and knitted metallic threads, making it extremely durable. It also adds some traction to help you stay planted in the saddle, but still allows you to move as needed.
The new Angel Revo Halo will be available this summer, at a price of $125, a solid value for what you are getting. With the titanium rails, the 245g claimed weight is just a few grams more than the Angel Revo. It will initially be available in a black monogram colorway.
