It seems these days, everyone is moving to more natural, sustainable materials, and Prologo is taking that step with the limited edition NAGO R4 Nigiri. The new saddle brings their top of the line, full carbon base and rails and adds a sustainably grown padding and natural cover.
The NAGO R4 is the fourth version of the NAGO. Available in both Tirox (alloy) and NACK (carbon) rails, the base uses a long fiber carbon material to balance comfort and support. At 245mm long and 137mm wide, the t-shape keeps you locked in when climbing in the saddle, but also has room to shift forward for increased leg speed.
Underneath, Prologo is using a new rice padding. After being steamed in their state of the art pots, the rice is carefully molded to the shape of the saddle by brand new artisans that have been brought in specifically for these limited edition saddles. This specially rolled padding is firm, but designed to cushion and support cyclists as they move on the bike.
The cover is made from something new, a 100% natural salmon. Renowned for it’s vibrant color and texture, it is hand-laid over the rice by the artisans, giving it a very unique look. A wasabi-based paste helps seal the cover over the rice padding and connects it to the base.
The limited edition NAGO R4 Nigiri will only be available on April 1st. The kit comes with two Tirox sticks that can be used to custom mold/shape the saddle to your liking. It will only be available at top Prologo retailers, along with a few fine restaurants world wide. Price is based on market value at the time of order.
