Stage 7 of the 2025 Giro d’Italia was the first mountain stage of the race one of only several in the three week grand tour. Though it was expected to be a day for Giulio Ciccone, it was Juan Ayuso (UAE Emirates-XRG) who had the legs to definitively take the win.

A massive crash in the rain dominated Stage 6 of the 2025 Giro d’Italia. While Taco Van Der Hoorn (Intermarché–Wanty) and Enzo Paleni (Groupama–FDJ) were out front for the majority of the stage, it came down to an odd sprint to decide the winner. It came down to Kaden Groves, who, after a false start, managed to eke out the stage win.

Pedersen had seemingly been struggling with 2km to go, but he surged back in the final km and rode past a reduced bunch to take the win over Edoardo Zambanini (Bahrain Victorious).
