After three years of close calls, Bob Jungels has claimed his first Tour de France stage win, staying away from the pack in a 60-km long solo breakaway after he escaped from a group formed at the initiative of Thibaut Pinot.

Ecuadorian rider Richard Carapaz took a solo win in Stage 14 of the 2019 Giro d’Italia, to take over the top of the General Classification.
The 2019 edition of the Giro d’Italia will be a true ‘Italian Style’ Giro, racing entirely within Italy, with the exception of a brief visit to the Republic of San Marino on Stage 9.
