“As the only New York based protective gear company, Triple Eight has a unique perspective on what it takes to make protective gear tough enough to survive the big city.   With our four new helmets, we are excited to leverage our action sports heritage and bring our industry leading technology and trendsetting designs to new segments of the bike market,” said Bobby Oppenheim, Triple Eight President.

Long known for the Brainsaver Helmet, with its classic skate-shell style, Triple Eight will be unveiling four new helmets, each aimed at a unique segment of the bike market:

  • GOTHAM: The Gotham helmet takes style, comfort and safety to a new level for the Urban/Commuter market.  With a subtle brim and Triple Eight logo vent, the helmet features a custom Adjustable Fit Dial System, patented Conehead EPS liner technology and reflective branding for safety.
  • COMPASS: With a lightweight in-mold design, the Compass is perfect whether you’re heading out of town to hit your favorite mountain trails or dodging traffic & potholes in the bike lane.  This MTB helmet features greater head coverage than traditional bike helmets and an Adjustable Fit Dial System to provide a secure, custom fit no matter how rugged the terrain.
  • INVADER: Perfect for hitting jumps, killing ramps and bombing hills or trails, the Invader offers the protection of a Full Face helmet with Triple Eight style.
  • LIL 8: Designed for Toddlers – 5 year olds, the Lil 8 lets the littlest riders wear the classic Triple Eight style in a new helmet, dual certified for both bike and skate, with an Adjustable Fit Dial System, designed just for them.

At Interbike, Triple Eight will also be showcasing new protective gear pads for BMX and MTB enthusiasts along with Collab Projects with two legends of the New York City bike scene – the Manhattan Portage Bag Company and celebrity merchant Dave Ortiz of Dave’s Wear House – that feature stylish gear, inspired by the streets of New York, with reflective designs specifically for safe biking.

  1. If bicycle riders have to wear Helmets.. why then are the Motorcycle riders not wearing them? Who’s more dangerous in riding.. The Bicyclists?
