Sea Trail Resort is awarded host site for 2014 Nike MS Breakaway to the Beach. Greater Carolinas Chapter of National MS Society Keeps Ride at Sunset Beach

Jeff Furst, President of the Greater Carolinas Chapter of the National MS Society, announced that Sea Trail Resort will serve as the host site for the 2014 Bike MS: Breakaway to the Beach ride. The ride is scheduled to take place from October 18-19, 2014.  Peter Reichard, CEO of Sea Trail Resort commented, “Sea Trail Resort is delighted to partner with the MS Society to host this extraordinary ride.”

Every year hundreds of riders, their families and friends, gather together to raise money, enjoy the beauty of the North and South Carolina countryside, and make a difference in the lives of people living with MS. This year, the ride will feature a two-day rally/loop across the scenic roads of North and South Carolina, beginning and ending at Sunset Beach. Multiple route options will give riders their choice of distance for the beach ride.

Mr. Furst notes, “Sea Trail is the perfect place to host this historic bike ride. Our riders, and their families, will be thrilled with the accommodations.” With more than $1.5 million invested in the last three months at Sea Trail Resort, Bike MS riders, staff, volunteers, families and friends, can look forward to revitalized facilities, spacious on-site accommodations, 54 holes of championship golf, a fitness center with indoor and outdoor pools, and more.

Registration opened on January 1, 2014.
