Bianchi partners with Butterfield & Robinson for new bike fleet

Butterfield & Robinson, the world’s premier active company, has partnered with legendary Italian bicycle manufacturer  to design a new fleet of hybrid bikes available exclusively on Butterfield & Robinson’s bike trips beginning in 2014.

After an exhaustive search for a manufacturer of its new fleet, Butterfield & Robinson chose Bianchi, a legend in the world and an industry leader with its almost 130-year history of innovative technology, Italian design and a well established reputation for excellence.

“The collaboration with B&R will give us a very good  opportunity to show  influential riders  that Bianchi does not only produce state-of-the-art  but also excellent sports ” says Richard Stroem Bianchi’s Director of Global Market Development.

The resulting fleet of hybrid bikes combines handling and riding comfort with Bianchi’s trademark Italian design flair and represents Butterfield & Robinson’s first-ever hybrid fleet to come from .

“Our search for the next-generation of our fleet began nearly a year and a half ago, as we spec’ed out every element of the bike,” said B&R Director of Planning & Operations Chris Mark. “Meticulous attention to detail is a trademark of our trips, and it’s no different with our equipment. We were not looking just for a supplier but for a partner, and in the end we found one we are proud to team within Bianchi, Italy’s industry leader.”

Available to riders on all of B&R’s European bike trips beginning in spring of 2014, the new hybrids will traverse the roads of Europe’s most stunning cycling regions, including Andalusia, Burgundy and Piedmont.
