Felt Bicycles is pleased to announce that Australian Ashleigh Gentle has joined Felt for 2014 as its newest elite multi-sport athlete.

The 23 year-old Gold Coast native and Olympic distance specialist is the 2010 Junior World Champion and winner of the prestigious NOOSA Triathlon in 2012. Seventh in the 2013 World Triathlon Series rankings, Ashleigh is considered one of the sport’s true rising stars.

On the heels of winning this year’s Luke Harrop Memorial Triathlon in April, Ashleigh has been selected to represent Australia in the Commonwealth Games beginning July 23 in Glasgow. Leading up to the Commonwealth Games she plans on competing in the Hamburg World Triathlon Series race on July 12-13. On top of an already full schedule she also hopes to compete in at least one 70.3 towards the end of the year.

“We are thrilled to have Ashleigh join our team in 2014,” says Jim Felt of Felt Bicycles. “She brings another dimension to our already exciting roster of elite triathletes and has a lot of blue sky ahead of her. She represents everything we look for in a Felt athlete and none of us will be surprised when great things happen for her.”

“I could not be happier,” says Gentle. “Being a member of the team at Felt  is quite an honor and knowing I am on the fastest equipment will give me that added edge. It’s a great company and bunch, and I cannot wait to get started.”

Gentle will race the new Felt AR aero road bike in all her ITU competitions and the new IA triathlon bike for longer non-drafting events.
