I was stoked when I got @Knog Blinder ARC 5.5 to test.  Digging the Aussie ingenuity they’ve put into other bicycle accessories, I couldn’t wait to experience all the hype around the Blinder ARC.

While IMHO the Aussie’s have left more to be desired when they call Foster’s a beer, I’ll hand it to @Knog.  The Blinder is aptly named.

Day one commuting home:

Wowser, had no idea how reflective the borders of the stop signs were.  It was almost like my own outdoor disco party.  Quickly, I was clicking through the four modes because I didn’t want to offend any drivers with my bomb ass beams.  Cheers to high, medium (which the Aussies call mid and I dig), low, and flashy disco mode, @Knog.

Some other day:

Thankful that @Knog was thinking of both sides of the spectrum.  I quickly traded my Short mount strap for Long and took off on the knobbies.   Praise the Aussie ingenuity once more!  Not only have they managed to pack 550 sensational lumens into 150 grams (5.29 ounces, USA), they spread and deliver them so generously across a great ellipse.  Bright straight light beams are all fun and games until somebody gets knocked out by a tree branch.  Knog’s elliptical light beams are clutch.

That day when I had to finally recharge:

So stylish and progressive.  Typical @Knog.  Bend back the teeny little him piece, put in the her, plug into a USB.  Wait for the light to tell ya she’s all done.  Cake.  We were back on the streets, blazing like brand new.

The Blinder ARC did a LOT for me that other promising pricey lights failed to deliver.  Some brands sacrifice LIGHT for the sake of weight or stick you with a chintzy battery.  Not @Knog.  The Blinder ARC packs amazing beams and a reliable rechargeable battery at a light weight.  Knog’s Blinder ARC 5.5 is a trifecta!
