Chris Chance to relaunch Fat Chance Bicycles at NAHBS

  • Ron

Fresh off of a Kickstarter campaign to sell his iconic Yo Eddy! frames, legendary mountain bike frame builder Chris Chance will use the 2015 North American Handmade Bicycle Show (NAHBS) to reintroduce the public to the brand. The new Yo Eddy Team Fat Chance frames will debut in the Fat Chance Bicycles booth #504 at the Kentucky International Convention Center in March.

Best known for the Yo Eddy line of mountain bikes, Fat Chance Bicycles is based in Marin, CA and builds each and every frame by hand. The first round of Yo Eddy Team Fat Chance frames will be a limited offering, available for pre-sale directly from Fat Chance in January, 2015. Dealer availability to follow.

“I’m thrilled that Chris has chosen NAHBS as the venue to relaunch Fat Chance Bicycles,” said Don Walker, Founder and President of NAHBS. “As one of the iconic brands of handcrafted bikes from days gone by, I’m excited to see them back up and running and can’t wait to see what Chris has in store for us in March.”

The first East Coast builder to recognize the potential for mountain biking, Chance elevated frame building to an artform, creating some of the most sought after and recognizable bikes in the history of mountain biking.

“I have been out of the bike scene for what seems like a long time. So much has changed during my hiatus, but most of what I love about bikes is still alive and well,” said Chris Chance, Founder and President of Fat Chance Bicycles. “My excitement is growing every day as the resurrection of Fat Chance Bicycles progresses and NAHBS will be the perfect venue to relaunch the brand.”
