Speedvagen announces 2015 Road Guidebook

  • Ron

On Friday, Speedvagen presented their 2015 Road Guidebook that highlights their new road and cross disc models.

Since 2007 Speedvagen has been crafting purpose driven race machines for customers looking for the highest level of innovation. All frames are designed, built, and painted by hand at The Vanilla Workshop in Portland, Oregon. Working directly with every customer allows The Vanilla Workshop to fine tune each frame, stripping away what is not needed and re-imagining what is left.

2015 sees Vanilla Workshop ramping up frame production, reducing wait time to as little as 12 weeks for a custom frame. Stock options are available with even shorter wait times.

Both models feature reengineered Berzerker dropouts, designed specifically to mount the disc caliper on the underside of the seatstay. This unique mounting not only looks cleaner, it also transmits braking stress into the tube and away from the dropout itself. The devil is in the details, such as using stainless steel in high wear areas or the custom tubing shaped by hand for each customer based on fit.

Speedvagen models come in several paint and graphic schemes ensuring your bike looks as good as it rides. This year they are launching a 3D “Ghost” graphic as well as the new “HollaText” and “Surprise Me!” schemes. As with everything else, their paint is designed and done in house allowing them to control all aspects of the build process.
