SKINS updates A400 compression line

  • Ron

image001SKINS has completely rebooted their popular A400 line of compression gear with new technological advancements that take their benefits even further than their predecessors.

The scientific advancements in the range utilize ‘ADAPTIVE Dynamic Cooling’, an intelligent finishing technology developed by Swiss textile technology innovator, HeiQ.

ADAPTIVE acts like a ‘second skin’ to provide the wearer with dynamic cooling and moisture management properties which are directly triggered by body temperature. When it’s cool, the polymer treatment binds in moisture to keep the wearer feeling warm and dry, but when the temperature heats up, stored moisture is automatically released for evaporation, allowing the body to cool down.

SKINS gradient compression has been re-engineered to provide improved surface pressure. comfort and support to specific areas on the body, increasing circulation and delivering more oxygen to active muscles, allowing you can train harder, perform longer and recover faster.

image002The collection has been re-designed to wrap and support key muscle groups with panels positioned to follow your natural muscle and tendon structure. The seams are biomechanically placed to act as anchor points, offering focused support and stability to major muscle groups.

The A400 line now includes premium reflective glass bead technology in the new A400 to introduce the stylish safety feature of 360 degree reflectivity. Sleek graphics and strategically placed logos mean the wearer is more visible in low light conditions. Proven 50+ UV protection adds a further layer of reassurance with excellent security against the harmful elements of the sun’s rays.

The full range of men’s, women’s and youth tights and tops is endorsed by the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA). The new A400 is constructed from five different technical fabrics with the men’s long tights alone, made up of 24 individual panels that follow natural muscle lines so that SKINS’ unique Dynamic Gradient Compression is focused on exactly the right areas for maximum effect.

SKINS’ traditional yellow has been replaced with a modern metallic gold across the whole range, bringing the design bang on trend. Men’s, women’s and youth tights and compression tops are enhanced with stylized digitally printed graphics, but are also available in black for those who prefer a minimalist look. Some key men’s styles are also available in flesh tone and white.

The new A400 is set for global release in February 2015. The launch will be supported by a new 360 degree campaign including print, digital, out of home and point of sale. For an advanced preview of the science behind the A400 collection, visit thelab.skins.net.
