2015 Tour de France: Stage 13 Preview

After our three days in the Pyrenees, the riders will be glad for a bit of a respite today. Stage 13 of the 2015 Tour de France runs 198.5kms from Muret to Rodez and is a rolling “transition” stage.

A break should get away early, then they will be the ones out for the intermediate sprint at 92.5kms in Laboutarie. Then, there are three categorized climbs:

• Km 131.0 – Côte de Saint-Cirgue3.8 kilometre-long climb at 5.8% – category 3
• Km 156.5 – Côte de la Pomparie2.8 kilometre-long climb at 5% – category 4
• Km 167.0 – Côte de la Selve3.9 kilometre-long climb at 3.7% – category 4

Due to the hills at the end, if the race comes back together, it seems a good stage for Sagan who is pretty solid on the lower hills. However, depending on who is in the break, it might be a good day for the puncheurs!
