Stephen Hyde takes top men’s spot after wild weekend

Stephen Hyde (Easthampton, Mass./Cannondale p/b cyclorossworld.com) moved to the top of the men’s Professional Cyclo-Cross Calendar (Pro CX) standings following the first of six multi-race weekends on the calendar, as Waterloo, Wis., hosted the Oct. 10-11 Trek CXC Cup, while Charm City Cross ran Oct. 10-11 in Baltimore.

Hyde earned respective second- and first-place finishes at the Trek CXC Cup to take the top spot in the men’s standings, which saw moves in each position of the top five over the weekend. Amanda Miller (Colorado Springs, Colo./Boulder Cycle Sport-Yogaglo) finished second and fourth at the Trek CXC Cup to hold her top spot in the women’s standings, while Spencer Petrov (Mason, Ohio/Cyclocross Networking Racing p/b Medical Remarketing) remains first in the junior men’s standings.
