Torpado announces 2016 Factory Team

The official presentation of the 2016 Torpado Factory Team took place at Villa Cian. The target for the team is to continue to grow, partnering experienced riders with up and coming young riders.

New to the team this year is Gabriele Bosisio, who makes his debut as an off road cyclist after making appearance in the Giro d’Italia, Milano – San Remo and Giro di Lombardia.

Returning for 2016 is team captain, Roel Paulissen (World Champion in 2008 & in 2009), his fourth consecutive year in the Torpado stable. Joining him are climber Klaus Fontana and the young bikers Marco Pretolani and Andrea Terenzi. On the women’s side is Katazina Sosna, Lithuanian national champion.

The team was presented at Villa Cian in Nago – Torbole (TN) at a special event reserved for sponsors, journalists and team supporters to present the team and celebrate the successes of 2015.

Team managers Sandro Lazzarin and Yader Zoli were on hand, ready to spur the team on to even richer successes in 2016. With them was the the coaching staff of Christian Murro, Sports Director, Mirco Tiengo, President and Daniele Antinori, Responsible Logistics.

Emanuele Zanaga, sole administrator of Torpado opened the evening: “We are very pleased with the group we created, and if it is true that “Never change a winning team” is also true that we have added to an already outstanding group, a token that will give an added value. “The team for us is the workshop, where ideas are born and where, after the first engineering development, we perfect the technicalities and then enter in the market of quality products designed and tested by professionals. And ‘in this that we can distinguish ourselves “.

He was followed by Yader Zoli, Torpado Product Manager: “For 2016 the team will ride with a full technical provision of our” thoroughbred foals “and then depending on the type of courses the athletes use the S line models more suitable. An added bonus for the team. “

Then spoke was Team Manager Sandro Lazzarin, who presented each athlete and the whole project: “The team in 2016 will grow and consolidate, after an excellent season we aim to remain at a high level and conquer important results in the most prestigious races.”

The team, in this season, will take part in the most important races of the Italian Marathon calendar with a few appearances at the international level. Objective: to be confirmed among the best teams, replicating the number of successes in 2015, (as many as 25, with 29 podiums).

The cycles on which the Torpado cyclists will ride in the next months will be three models of the  2016 S line: Nearco, Ribot and Eclipse. These bikes were developed in the past few seasons with the help of the bikers and perfectly meet the needs of each.

The Torpado Factory Team will make its debut right on Garda Lake, on the streets of Bardolino in less than one month, on March 6th, 2016.
