Kitsbow Releases First Road Collection

  • Ron

Kitsbow has announced the addition of a road line. Available now, the collection includes the Geyser’s JerseyColeman Valley Bib ShortKing Ridge WindbreakerRoad Arm Warmer, and Road Knee Warmer.

A passion for mountain biking and the idea of Kitsbow product staples like the Adjustable Short and Rudy Jersey led Zander Nosler and Charlie Cronk to found Kitsbow in 2012. Since then, the product line has been growing: in 2014, the Icon Shirt and Drifter Jean were launched, a throwback to mountain biking’s beginning of flannel shirts and jeans with modern style updates. Last year saw the addition of the Alpha Snap Jacket, in partnership with Polartec, and the Tech Pant and Jacket, designed for all outdoor adventures and style on and off the bike. Now, Kitsbow expands into road with the same fundamentals the brand is known for: apparel for every cyclist looking for style, function, and unmatched quality.

“Mountain biking was our starting point, our core and our passion at Kitsbow,” said Cronk. “Most of us ride, whether it’s mountain, urban commuting, or road, so each addition to the line has been a natural progression. Now we’re excited to expand into road apparel, remaining true to Kitsbow’s design philosophy: dedication to beautiful, technical fabrics with functional details, made to be worn hard and built to last. The new pieces are in the spirit of what we like about being on the bike – adventure, fun, going out and getting lost or finding a new path and exploring where it goes.”

About the road line:

Geyser’s Jersey ($169): The understated and elegant merino synthetic blend (57% poly, 43% merino) is made for riding in any weather. With fabrication built for performance and comfort (breathability, wicking, moisture management, and anti-microbial), the jersey also has added tensile strength for durability. An articulated shape and “race cut” with a higher front ensures a great fit in the saddle while the gripper waist keeps the garment in place. Other key features include three traditional back pockets with one zip-secured water resistant stowage pocket, extra vent mesh panel inserts to further increase breathability and evaporation of moisture, and subtle reflective hits for safety. Available in three colors: flash, ti-grey, and denim.

King Ridge Windbreaker ($179): A lightweight, packable wind and water-resistant shell is an essential part of your kit. The King Ridge Windbreaker is the perfect weight, whether to protect against the elements or ball up in your back pocket for peace of mind if the weather gets rough. It’s all about the details; there’s a reflective logo for safety and classic Kitsbow touch points of comfort: soft knit at the top of the collar and knit cuffs at the sleeve openings. An articulated fit and shaped sleeves means a rattle free ride.

Coleman Valley Bib Short ($179): The quintessential road cycling piece, the Coleman Valley Bib Short works in a variety of climates. Made from Polartec Power Stretch, the next-to-skin layer stays dry, breathable, and comfortable by continuously transferring moisture vapor for rapid evaporation while the outer surface has a low-friction finish that increases abrasion resistance. Straps on the bib shorts are made from a knit mesh elastic for lightness and breathability and hidden leg pockets are a better place to ditch your wrappers.

Road Arm Warmer and Knee Warmer ($59 each): These lightweight warmers are great for taking the edge off on a crisp start to a ride or when you’ve hit the top and are ready to descend. The 50+ UPF-rated warmers feature an articulated shape for great fit, flat lock construction, silicon pixel grippers to keep them in place, and reflective logo treatment for visibility.
