  • Ron

Zipp has expanded its SL lineup of best-in-class carbon componentry with the newly designed SL Speed Stemand SL Speed Seatpost. They build on Zipp’s tradition of helping riders go faster through the use of light weight products that are ergonomic and aerodynamically efficient. The SL Speed Stem and SL Speed Seatpost are designed for use in road, cyclocross, and gravel riding

SL SPEED STEM

SL_Speed_Stem_DS_3qrt_frontZipp set a new standard of performance and style in 2013 with the introduction of the carbon SL Sprint stem. In response to demand to expand their offerings to include a light weight ±6° carbon stem, they are proud to launch the SL Speed Stem. Designed using SRAM Exogram™ technology, found in SRAM RED cranks, the new SL Speed Stem weighs just 123g (100mm) while exceeding their stiffness-to-weight standards by 25%.

Weighing just 123 grams in the 100mm length, the SL Speed stem features unidirectional carbon construction and comes in lengths from 70 to 120mm to fit most frame sizes and body types. Available in May 2016, it is expected to retail for $265.

SL SPEED SEATPOST

SL_Speed_Seat_Post_27_2_330mmZipp’s SL Speed Seatpost has become a favorite of road and cyclocross pros because of its light weight and dependability. This new SL Speed offers the same range of adjustment as its predecessor, but at a lighter weight. Zipp’s engineers used SRAM’s Exogram technology to make the tube as light weight as possible and optimized their clamping system for light weight adjustability, security, and ease of use. What’s more, the SL Speed is available in a 400mm length to accommodate road bikes with modern compact frame geometry.

The SL Speed seatpost will be available in 27.2 and 31.8mm diameters and with 0 and 20mm setbacks.

Like the stem, it will be available in May 2016 and is expected to retail for $265.
