Ursus partners with Team Novo Nordisk for 2017

The Ursus T37 is one of the wheel sets that Team Novo Nordisk will be riding in 2017.

Team Novo Nordisk announced a one-year partnership naming Ursus as the exclusive wheel supplier to the squad for the 2017 season.

“Team Novo Nordisk selected Ursus because we are always looking for the best products on the market to support our athletes,” Team Novo Nordisk Senior Vice President of Athletics Vassili Davidenko said. “We are eager to use Ursus’s lightweight wheels for the 2017 season as it sees us racing around the world to change diabetes.”

“Ursus is honored to support Team Novo Nordisk. We’ve always admired the team’s mission and the inner strength of its riders,” Ursus Sales Manager Enrico Stragliotto said. “Cycling is a great way to challenge life and the Ursus motto, #BeAGladiator, is aimed at those who chase their dream and crave to leave a mark on their world. We felt Team Novo Nordisk perfectly embodied our mission and us theirs.“

Team Novo Nordisk’s men’s professional team will kick off the 2017 season riding Ursus special edition Miura TS37, Miura TS47 and Miura TS87 wheels. Produced in Italy, these lightweight, fast and reliable wheels are designed for smoothness and aerodynamics thanks to their alloy hub, UD carbon monocoque rim and straight spokes.

2017 marks the fifth season the men’s professional squad, which consists of 18 athletes from eight different countries,is racing on the International Cycling Union (UCI) Professional Continental Tour, This upcoming season will take them to numerous countries around the world including Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East as they continue racing to change diabetes.

Building off more than 45 years of experience designing high-end cycling wheels, Ursus expanded into the professional peloton in recent years. Equipping professional teams with Ursus wheels throughout races such as the Giro d’Italia has allowed the company to constantly evolve its products to ensure impeccable quality.
