PAUL Components Goes Blue With Small Batch Runs

Want to add blue to your bike?

Whenever I hear blue, I immediately revert back to 1999 and hear the chorus “I'm blue da ba dee da ba daa” from Eiffel 65's “I'm Blue.” It's stuck in your head now too, right? Good, if I have to hear it, you do too. To try and forget it, let's talk about some new blue pieces from US component maker PAUL Components, who is offering up some limited run blue parts.

The Boxcar Stem

PAUL Components, based in Chico, CA, is well known for their handcrafted aluminum parts. Carbon is nice and all, but there is something about a shiny aluminum bit that gives it a classic feel, not to mention some seriously durable components. PAUL typically offers their pieces in polished, silver, or anodized black, but has recently brought out some small run anodized colors that takes me back to the early days of mountain biking in the 90's. Back then, if it was anodized a color, it was cool.

In all, the company will be offering ten items in blue, including the Boxcar Stem, Canti Levers, Klamper Disc Brake, and the Tall and Hansome Seatpost. Other items like the Set'N'Forget skewers will also be available upon request. If you have a hankering for some blue details for your bike, you better act fast. Each component will be made in small batch runs and once they are gone, they are gone (until blue becomes popular again). Some pieces are available now, but the pre-order parts should be available in 4-6 weeks.
