PEARL iZUMi launches custom iracelikagirl apparel

  • Ron

PEARL iZUMi has partnered with iracelikeagirl— a women’s endurance team and community founded by professional triathlete Angela Naeth— on an exclusive apparel collection that will launch on May 10 in the U.S. only.

The line, consisting of an iracelikeagirl custom cycling top, short, warmers and a t-shirt, will be available at www.pearlizumi.com. Proceeds will benefit the iracelikeagirl athlete community.

The exclusive cycling kit is inspired by the custom racing kits worn by Naeth. “This apparel is what I’ve known for almost a decade in the sport and I absolutely love the quality, the design process and the team at PEARL iZUMi,” said Naeth. “The custom design team does outstanding work for PEARL iZUMi athletes.”

Naeth has been a PEARL iZUMi athlete since 2009, training and competing in PEARL iZUMi triathlon and cycling apparel and footwear. She is currently ranked among the top triathletes in the world –  with two sub-9 hour IRONMAN performances and 30+ podiums at the 70.3 and Ironman distances.

“I fell in love with the sport of triathlon because of the community and strong supporters such as PEARL iZUMi,” said Naeth. “The iracelikeagirl global team is an opportunity for me to give back to the sport and help other women achieve their goals. I’m proud that PEARL iZUMi stands behind me on this mission.”

Naeth founded the iracelikeagirl community in 2017 on a mission to use the sport of triathlon and other endurance sports as a platform to bring women and girls of all ages and abilities together—to support, encourage and inspire one another. iracelikeagirl highlights what it means to be a woman and race like only a girl can race.  The community offers unique team events and challenges for members to participate in. They also have their own private forum, group chats, and constant contact with Angela Naeth for support and advice.
