THESIS announces new graphene-infused carbon 650B and 700C wheelsets at a revolutionary $999

THESIS today opens US sales of their graphene-infused carbon wheelsets through their website at https://thesis.bike. Their Ultra-Wide Carbon 650B and Aero Wide Carbon 700C wheelsets are designed for serious enthusiasts seeking strong, versatile, responsive wheels made to last for years.

  • Built for gravel grinding, singletrack shredding, and bikepacking trips, the THESIS Ultra-Wide 650B wheelset offers MTB levels of strength, tire stability, and durability in a race-ready 1460g package. Unlike skinnier rims, their 27.3mm internal width and hookless, tubeless design provides a broad base of support for running 45mm+ tires at low pressures for added traction, comfort, and control without the squirm.
  • Built for road, dirt, and touring adventures, the THESIS Aero-Wide 700C wheelset offers speed, strength, and durability in an aerodynamic 44mm, 1590g package. Featuring a mid-hook tubeless design along with 30mm external and 22mm internal widths, they transition smoothly with 28-30mm slicks for speed on the road while providing a stable base of support for dirt tires up to 45mm.
  • All wheelsets feature graphene-infused carbon rims with offset angled drilling and reinforced nipple beds for strength, DT350 hubs for reliability, and 28 cold-forged bladed J-bend spokes (all of a single length) per wheel with exposed brass nipples for durability and serviceability.
  • These wheelsets also come as standard equipment on the THESIS OB1 bike, where they can be swapped in under two minutes for the ultimate one bike for every road.

“As one of the very first companies to use graphene in our rims, we’re thrilled to bring this breakthrough technology to the market,” says founder Randall Jacobs. “Graphene has long been touted in the bike industry as the supermaterial of the future. Adding less than 1% graphene nanoparticles by mass to our resin more than doubles its bond strength, preventing delamination between layers of carbon fiber and increasing the impact strength of our rims by 20% at the same weight.”

Developed in partnership with factories behind some of the industry’s leading high-end wheel brands, every THESIS wheelset is professionally hand-built and digitally checked to ensure a lifetime of trouble-free riding.

“We built these wheels to be some of the best out there,” says Jacobs. “These aren’t disposable weight-weenie wheels. We applied the same obsessive, evidence-driven approach to spec that we used throughout the OB1 bike to create some of the highest performing, longest lasting, and most versatile wheels in the industry. And with our factory-direct model, we’re able to deliver them to our riders at a fraction of the traditional price.”

THESIS wheelsets begin shipping this October.
