2018 Philly Bike Expo – Cinelli

Cinelli USA was the first booth that I hit at the 2018 Philly Bike Expo. The Italian brand is looking to re-introduce themselves to the U.S. and with a new distributor and an exciting line of bikes, I think that they’ll succeed.

A lot of folks, myself included, probably had Cinelli stuck in kind of a retro mode with classic steel road frames and their excellent track bikes, but they had a lot more on hand that shows that they’re keeping up with the times.

The King Zydeco is a full carbon gravel frameset that will come out in 2019. There’s nothing retro about this!
Cinelli Zydeco
The $1700 Zydeco is Cinelli’s gravel current offering. At $1700, the price is a little more reasonable than the projected cost for the King Zydeco.

The $2000 Hobootleg Geo from @cinelliusa aims directly at the bikepacking set with plenty of mounting options for racks and packs.
