Wolf Tooth adds new line of grips

  • Ron

Wolf Tooth Components announced the acquisition of the RedMonkey Sports grip product line and has launched the grips under their own brand.

Five new grips in multiple colors and sizes are available initially, with further expansion planned to include additional grips and grip accessories in the coming months. These new extruded silicone foam grips have added durability and a soft, tacky feel for extra comfort and control. All of these grips are made with 100% proprietary dual-density silicone foam compound, which provides excellent vibration damping, conforms to your hand for improved comfort, and maintains durability.

Wolf Tooth’s partnership with RedMonkey Sports began two years ago when they teamed up to release Wolf Tooth Fat Paw Grips. This acquisition of the product line is an evolution of that partnership and it’s ideal for both companies, as it allows Wolf Tooth to expand their bike shop offering while allowing RedMonkey Sports to focus on new and current products. Production will remain in California, while packaging and fulfillment will move to Wolf Tooth’s facility in Minnesota.

Here’s what the new Wolf Tooth grip product lineup looks like:

  • Razer Grip: 5mm foam wall thickness (30mm installed diameter), available in 10 colors, light weight, ideal for riders who enjoy sensitive bike handling
  • Karv Grip: 6.5mm foam wall thickness (32mm installed diameter), available in 10 colors, thicker foam makes it perfect for long rides
  • Karv Cam Grip: 6.5mm foam wall thickness (32mm installed diameter), available in two colors, two facets formed into grip allow you to choose an ergonomic position that best supports your hand position and riding style
  • Fat Paw Grip: 9.5mm foam wall thickness (36mm installed diameter) is the thickest silicone foam grip on the market, available in 10 colors, ideal for riders with large or gloved hands
  • Fat Paw Cam Grip: 9.5mm foam wall thickness (36mm installed diameter), available in two colors, two facets formed into grip allows you to choose an ergonomic position that best supports your hand position and riding style

Current dealers have access to these new grips now. New products will be offered wherever Wolf Tooth is sold. Expect more grip-related news from Wolf Tooth in the near future.
