WolfTooth Components introduces Mega Fat Paw and Mega Fat Paw Cam grips

  • Ron

The thickest silcone foam grips in the world just got thicker. Wolftooth Components‘ new Mega Fat Paw and Mega Fat Paw Cam grips are 11.5mm thick with an installed diameter of 40mm. These provide even more cushion than their Fat Paw Grips (9.5mm thick with an installed diameter of 36mm), which were the thickest foam grips in the world before today.

Grip preferences vary widely between riders and super thick grips are not for everybody but a growing number of people are craving the benefits of larger grips. The larger diameter combined with the softer durometer spreads the load on your hands and reduces pressure spots. This is particularly important to cyclists who have experienced finger numbness due to too much pressure on the ulnar nerve. The extreme diameter also provides excellent vibration damping and reduces hand fatigue. Like all of our grips, they are made in the USA with our proprietary dual-density foam that is tacky, durable, and conforms to the shape of your hand.

Mega Fat Paw Cam grips continue Wolftooth’s ergonomic foam offering, alongside Fat Paw Cam and Karv Cam grips. The Cam grips are also cylindrical in shape, but have two additional facets, which provide flat surfaces to support your fingers and provide positive grip.  The flat faces also reduce the circumference of the grip so you can have maximum padding under your palm without reducing finger wrap.

With the addition of these new grips, Wolf Tooth now has grip options in four thicknesses, two shapes, and a variety of colors. Wolf Tooth launched Fat Paw grips in 2016 and added Razer, Karv, Karv Cam and Fat Paw Cam varieties last spring. These new Mega Fat Paw and Mega Fat Paw Cam grips are available in black. Retail pricing for both is $32.95 USD. These are available on wolftoothcomponents.com today.
