Wolf Tooth Components drops new Gold Morse Cages and Chainring for 8 bolt direct mount

  • Ron

Wolf Tooth Components adds to their chainring selection with an option for 8-bolt direct mount cranks and also adds a more durable finish for their Morse water bottle cages.

New Chainring for SRAM Direct Mount 8-Bolt

Wolf Tooth’s new chainring for SRAM Direct Mount 8-Bolt provides an option for those who want to replace their existing spider with a simpler, cleaner option. This chainring will work with all SRAM cranks that use an 8-bolt mounting interface: AXS, XX1, Eagle, and Quarq power meter cranks.

Like all Wolf Tooth chainrings, this new option for SRAM Direct Mount features our patented Drop-Stop B wide/narrow tooth profile, which improves chain retention. More specs and details are available on the product page. Current sizing is 40T and 44T, with more options in the works. Find our new chainring for SRAM Direct Mount 8-Bolt on our website and wherever Wolf Tooth is sold.

Morse Cage Gold

Their Morse Cage now comes in a brand new, limited edition, extra-durable coating. This began as an experiment and they really like how it turned out. Instead of a traditional anodized finish, they are applying a titanium nitride coating that’s also used to add durability to drill bits.

The Morse Cage gets its name from the dots and dashes that comprise four bolt positions, which allow for 32mm of vertical movement so you can determine the best bottle position for your frame. These are made in collaboration with King Cage in Durango, Colorado.
