Hutchinson Tires Launches New Gravel Tire

  • Ron

Hutchinson Tires is proud to release The Touareg – the latest addition to their gravel/cyclocross range.

Whether you’re racing or planning an epic adventure, Hutchinson’s goal was to develop a gravel tire with maximum versatility. Merging the best of its road and mountain bike expertise and experience, the brand created the Touareg: a tire developed to meet optimal efficiency wherever in the world you are, providing the best combination of performance, grip and durability.

The Touareg improves upon Hutchinson’s famous Overide gravel tire when it comes to riding on rougher terrains. The Touareg’s knobs are more pronounced, with greater volume and wider dimensions. Thus, providing protection and grip even on the most rugged terrains.

Where To Go Today?

The Touareg is designed to enjoy every second of the off-road adventure while maintaining strong performance upon tarmac – for a smooth and comfortable ride, whatever the route of choice. The worldwide versatility of the Touareg is in part thanks to the continued development in the architecture of its knobs. The smaller and more compact small- blocks contribute to comfort and performance, on both rough terrain and smooth tarmac.

The Touareg tire is made with a 127 tpi casing, an optimal option when looking for high-performance. Flexible and light, it helps to produce high rolling performance.

Hutchinson’s new gravel tire is also reinforced with the Hardskin textile grid from bead to bead. In addition to the rubber thickness, Hutchinson’s Hardskin reinforcement offers additional protection against sharp stones, rocks and any other hostile material found on rough gravel terrain. This MTB reinforcement has been thoroughly proven on XC Marathon races – where will it take you?

Details

The Touareg will be available in both black and gum sidewall versions, in sizes starting at 650b x 47 up to a 700×47 model. All versions will retail for $64.99.
