Team Total Direct Energie Confirms Tour de France Squad

French Pro Continental squad Team Total Direct Energie has announced their line up for the 2020 Tour de France. With the exception of sprinter Niccolò Bonifazio, it is slated to be an all-French lineup hunting for stage wins at this year’s first Grand Tour.

On stages for the sprinters, 2020 Paris-Nice Stage 5 winner Bonifazio will be the team’s primary option. Getting him to the line will be veteran rider Geoffrey Soupe, who’s sprinting background makes him a great lead out or an additional option if things don’t go according to plan.

When the road starts to rise, Romain Sicard will be flying the team colors.

All-arounder Lilian Calmejane will be hunting for his second Tour stage win on those in between days, along with Anthony Turgis, Fabien Grellier, and Jérôme Cousin looking for opportunities in the breakaways. Twenty-one year old Mathieu Burgaudeau will riding to gain experience and could be featured in some attacks.
