Endura Expands into Gravel and Adventure With GV500 Line

We recently gave you the rundown on Scottish brand Endura‘s FS260 line, but they also recently released the GV500 line focused on Gravel and Adventure riding. The new line adds functionality and durability and blends a little bit of the MT500 line as well.

To start off, there are four main items, two tops, two bottoms. The line has you covered if you prefer tight-fitting kit like on the road, or baggier gear more common with mountain biking and adventure riding. Just like the FS260 line, the GV500 includes trickle-down tech from their pro-level Pro SL kit, while also adding some of its own unique features.

Starting with the Reiver items, this is the tighter, go-fast line. The GV500 Reiver short sleeve jersey is made from a lightweight recycled knit fabric for comfort, but also shows a nod to sustainability, something Endura has been focusing on with garments and work outside of cycling. Mesh panels are integrated into the sides and back for breathability, and a super-stretch woven fabric is used on the sleeves for comfort and durability. Along with a typical full-length zipper and traditional three back pockets, it also features a small zippered chest pocket, a zippered pocket on the back for keys, and mesh stash pockets on the side for things like gels. Sizes run from S-XXL, and pricing will be $119.99.

For the bibs, Endura uses a super-stretch fabric for comfort and durability over a typical lycra. The fabric extends higher up the back to provide additional lower back support. The side panels are double-layered to protect you from the inevitable spill on loose surfaces, Additionally, on the sides of the legs, there are mesh pockets big enough to hold a phone or other items. The Reiver bib shorts use the 600 Series II chamois with Endura’s Continuously Variable Profile stretch technology and gel inserts for support and vibration dampening. If you want to add over shorts, there is a silicone around the back to help keep the shorts up or your jersey down. Sizes run from S-XXL, and pricing is $169.99.

For a more casual fit, Endura added the Foyle T and over shorts to the GV500 line. The Foyle T is made from a rapid-wicking lightweight merino-blend and the super-stretch woven fabric on the arms for durability in case you lose it on the loose stuff. It also features mesh panels for ventilation and a side zippered pocket for things like keys or your ID and cash. The cut is comfortable off the bike, but made riding. It’s still a slim fit to prevent flapping in the wind without being a form-fitting road jersey. Sizes run S-XXL and price is $79.99

The Foyle Shorts provide a more relaxed look while also adding functionality and protection. They are made from a super-stretch lightweight woven fabric, with a mesh-lined waistband with a printed silicone gripper. This keeps them comfortable and in place. They are also compatible with Endura’s Clickfast liners if you have a set from the MT500 line. They have a double snap closure in the front and for a customized fit, the Foyle shorts have adjustable, elastic velcro straps on the sides. The shorts have zippered front pockets that also double as vents, along with zippered openings in the thighs that provide access to the Reivel thigh pockets and additional venting. There are also laser cut vents throughout. Available in sizes S-XXL, the Foyle shorts will retail for $119.99.

As of now, colors look limited to Rust Red and Olive Green in the Foyle T and shorts, along Paprika in the Reiver short sleeve jersey. The Reiver shorts will be in black.

Most items are available on Endura’s website now, though you might have to use the search to find them until they get the GV500 line added to the filters.
