  • Ron

Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) has won Stage 4 of the 2022 Tirreno-Adriatico, 202km between Cascata delle Marmore and Bellante and becomes the new General Classification leader. Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo Visma) and Victor Lafay (Cofidis) were second and third on the finish line.

Speaking seconds after the stage finish, the stage winner and new Maglia Azzurra Tadej Pogacar, said: “The team pulled all day so I thought it would be better if I’d give it a go. We did everything right. It was like a mountain top finish today so it’s similar to last year when I took the lead on Stage 4. Tomorrow it will be another stage like today’s and Saturday the queen stage so I still have to pay attention to the others.”
