Cane Creek releases pair of gravel forks

  • Ron

Cane Creek has released a pair of inverted gravel forks with 30 and 40mm of travel. They are splitting hairs calling this the world’s first gravel fork, as there have been slim, low travel forks from other brands, but it’s safe to say that it is the first ‘gravel-first’ design that has come to the market, and, it certainly integrates better with the aesthetics of drop bar bikes than forks

Call the Invert, the new forks are said to smooth your ride and give you unbelievable control of your bike on rough roads, loose turns, and steep descents. It’s surprisingly lightweight, easy to use, and strikingly attractive.

Until this point, no fork made for drop bars has been able to combine the smooth ride, lightweight, simplicity, and good looks into one complete package.

Two Models

Invert CS & Invert SL

The Invert CS ($1199) comes with 40mm of fork travel and a Climb Switch button that when clicked, dramatically reduces the amount of fork movement for pedaling out of the saddle.

The Invert SL ($1099) is a more minimal and lightweight option. It forgoes the Climb Switch mechanism to reduce weight even further and comes with less travel — 30mm.

Invert Makes Gravel Better

Rough, uneven, and shifting surfaces constantly try to bump, lift, and separate your tire from solid ground. This simple phenomenon is the cause for most of our problems as cyclists: fatigue, discomfort, timid cornering & descending, and in the worst cases, crashes!

Invert helps tires maintain contact with the ground, and thereby offer more grip and more control. This gives increased confidence to carry more momentum and ride more freely and relaxed than ever before.

The Invert line is expected to be available for purchase in mid-summer 2024.
