Speaking in the press conference, the and Red Jersey Lorena Wiebes said: “We launched the sprint early but we were forced to do that because the race was quite slow from 15 to 5km to go and it created a big chaos with all trains coming from behind. I lost my teammates then I found them back. Luckily I had my lead out Barbara with me in the last kilometre. Eventually she brought me in a position that I could sprint. When I started my career I wasn’t thinking of reaching a number like 120 victories. It went fast in my career and this is a great start for another season”.
