State Bicycle Company Launches Revamped 4130 Trail

  • Ron

Entering its sophomore year, the State Company 4130 Trail receives some massive upgrades, all without raising the unbelievable price. The new build features Shimano Deore M6100 paired with an 11-50T cassette for out-of-the-box performance and range.

Tough as nails and ready for anything, the upgraded 4130 Trail is State ‘s award-winning entry into the MTB market, designed to crush climbs, rip descents, and handle whatever you throw at it. From singletrack slashes to sketchy urban shortcuts, or full-on bikepacking, the 4130 Trail is built to send it – and keep coming for more.

Quick Features

  • Progressive Trail Geometry — Slack 65° head angle, low-slung top tube, and long front-center for stability when the trail gets rowdy (without killing the fun in corners).
  • NEW: 12-Speed Deore Drivetrain — Built around Shimano Deore M6100, paired with an 11–50T cassette for big climbing range and clean, reliable shifting.
  • UDH Compatibility — Future-proofed for modern drivetrain tech and easier maintenance.
  • Double-Butted 4130 Steel Frame — Tough, smooth, and built to take a beating.
  • Internal Dropper Routing (31.6mm) — Hassle-free dropper upgrades.
  • Threaded BB (73mm BSA) — Reliable, creak-free, easy service.
  • More Mounting Points — Triple bottle cage mounts on the downtube for longer days and bigger plans.
  • Silver RC Fork (130mm / 35mm stanchions) — Motion Control damper + Solo Air spring with premium bushings for smooth, controlled trail performance.

While the 4130 Trail comes well-equipped with a WTBi30 rolling on 29×2.4″ Trailboss tires, a 12-speed Deore drivetrain and Tektro hydraulic disk brakes, upgrades are available to AM30 (+$999.99), 12-speed AXS wireless drivetrain (+ $499.99) and SRAM DB4 4-piston brakes (+ $150).
