After launching their new M3 Lace, QUOC is back with another new road shoe, the Motion. Placed as the successor of the Escape road shoe, the Motion builds on a reputation of being a value packed shoe at a privateer price.
While the M3 line gets the spotlight with a full carbon sole and lightweight and breathable TPU upper, the Motion still punches above its weight at about half the price.
The Motion is designed to be QUOC’s all day, all year road shoe. It uses a breathable PU leather-like upper with just a single seem hidden behind the heel cup to prevent any hot spots. The upper molds to your foot without the need of a break in period. It keeps the same tongue style design of the Escape with a single dial for adjustment. The Motion uses QUOC’s new Tech Dial III with 36 clicks on adjustment to micro adjust the fit of the shoe. It has a roomier last for all-day comfort.
Underneath, QUOC uses a glass-fiber composite sole that blends stiffness for performance without compromising comfort, so not too stiff, not too flexible. The added insole provides some extra cushion to help fight road vibration. The front and rear bumpers are a gum tan color, giving a little pop of contrast to the white and black of the shoe. The sole uses a standard 3-bolt design, with a few millimeters adjustment for and aft, with hash marks all around the cleat to help guide mounting.
The Motion will be available in white to start, with the graphite color coming on May 7th. Sizes will run from 37-47 in whole sizes, with a weight of 255g in size 42. No word on if there will eventually be a laced version of the Motion to replace the current Escape Lace Road or Escape Off-Road.
Pricing is £160 (GBP)/$220 (USD)/€200 (EUR), which is a bit easier on the wallet than the M series shoes.
The Motion is available from QUOC now through their website or your favorite dealer.
