Ergon, the leader in cycling ergonomics, has announced that their GDH grip series has expanded to three sizes and multiple colors.
The Ergon GDH was co-developed with Ergon athletes Vali Höll, Troy Brosnan, and Luca Shawand is their go-to gravity racing grip. The same proven GDH design –with its multi-directional damping system, anatomic finger boxes, and Ergon’s proprietary Gravity Control Rubber Compound –is now available in two more sizes, giving riders a precise fit for their hand size and riding style. All three models have interlocked cushion blocks on the top of the grip to provide progressive damping —soft at initial contact, supportive at peak impact —while the underside anatomic finger boxes are angled to match a racing-elbows-out position and deliver that locked-in feel. An outer stop anchors the palm with gentle counter-pressure while the inner stop positions the hand and thumb for smooth shift lever operation. Made in Germany, Ergon’s Gravity Control Rubber Compound ties it all together with its softest formulation—maximizing vibration damping across all three sizes without compromise.
GDH Slim –Precision Control
The GDH Slim, with its 30mm diameter, delivers a more direct connection between hand and handlebar, directly translating trail feedback to give riders a precise feel. It suits riders who prefer to actively feel the terrain, want maximum precision on technical lines, or simply have smaller hands. The ergonomic shape, damping and grip properties remain unchanged from the Regular size—the Gravity Control Rubber performs just as well in the smaller diameter.
“I’ve been on the GDH for years, and I’ve been riding the Slim version for two months now,” offers Ergon athlete Nate Hills.“The damping is definitely on par with the original GDH —the Slim gives me better precision, while still delivering plenty of cushion on the rough stuff.”
GDH – Goldilocks
The GDH remains the benchmark: a 32mm grip that combines the direct feel riders expect from a high-performance grip, with an ergonomic shape to smooth out sustained high-speed chatter while reducing hand fatigue and arm pump. Three years of World Cup podiums have proven this winning formula. Nothing has changed, nothing needed to.
GDH Fat –More Cushion
The GDH Fat’s larger 34mm diameter increases the contact patch between hand and grip, distributing pressure more evenly across the palm and reducing fatigue on long, rough descents, resulting in a more controlled feel.
Ideal for riders who prefer a larger diameter grip or want additionalcushion to dial back the front end noise.
