MTB-first component brands like PNW, OneUp and WolfTooth could always be counted on for making excellent flat pedals, but as these manufacturers have matured and expanded their offerings beyond dirt, clipless pedals are now showing  up in their catalogs.
We already have a set on OneUp’s new clipless pedals in for review, and now Wolftooth has released a new gravity-focused pedal called the SHIFT. The SHIFT Gravity Clipless Pedals are designed for maximum support and unparalleled confidence for downhill, enduro, and aggressive trail riding. They feature an exceptionally large platform, 8 traction pins, and a low stack for maximum control, a lower center of gravity, great power transfer, and ground clearance.
In a ‘shift’ from other clipless trail pedals, SHIFT features eight traction pins that add additional grip and allow you to get your foot securely onto the pedal in the event of a unclip. This gravity-specific design gives you more confidence in extreme terrain at high speed than any other SPD compatible clipless pedal.
Like the majority of the their components, the SHIFT was designed and engineered at Wolftooth HQ in Minnesota.
They feature machined aluminum pedal bodies, bombproof triple bearing and an igus bushing setup derived from their best- selling Waveform flat pedals, stainless steel axles, bindings, and hardware.
