SIDI Shot 3 Brings Performance for All

High performance have  proven benefits, but those with wider, or just plain unusual-shaped feet have typically been locked out of that echelon. With their new Millennium fit, the brings that top level performance to all .

After a bit of a quiet period, SIDI has returned to the U.S. market with new fervor. The brand came into 2026 with a bold evolution of their brand identity as well as a renewed focus on innovation – guided by the same belief that has always driven the brand forward: Made to Progress.

A key sign of their new era of innovation comes in their Millennium Fit, maintaining their steadfast commitment to quality, , and performance while a slightly wider forefoot enhances comfort and adaptability to accommodate a broader range of foot shapes.

Designed for riders who are at the highest levels of the sport, or just those that demand uncompromising excellence, the Shot 3 ushers in a new era of innovation and performance, with a refreshed, modern aesthetic. We have been riding the Shot 3 for most of 2026 and are happy to report that it lives up to its promises. 

Efficient Power Transfer

It’s easy to put a carbon sole onto a cycling shoe and make it stiff, but SIDI has gone farther. At its core, the carbon sole and Nexus Bridge deliver low stack height, reduced weight, and efficient power transfer, but its coupled with the monocoque microfiber upper with an internal net that provides stability and structure, while minimizing discomfort that could impact performance. The integrates the sole and heel into one carbon platform, engineered for stiffness, stability, and precise power transfer.

The Shot 3 also incorporates a tool-free adjustable heel system that comfortably yet firmly ensures that your foot and the shoe are working as one unit. While SIDI says that it is easily adjustable with one hand while riding, it’s not something I’d attempt. I also noted that there’s no clear indicator of what direction to turn the dial to loosen or tighten the shoe. 

These dials are not easy to adjust on or off the bike

Regardless, I always felt very connected to the bike without feeling ‘locked in’ or uncomfortable. 

Dial System: Compact Control

Rather than using an “off the shelf” adjustment dial, SIDI took a different approach. Their dials are designed as part of a unified whole, with the closure system engineered to disappear into the shoe’s architecture. The result is a dial that is virtually invisible in use — fully integrated, aerodynamically neutral, and precisely effective in delivering a secure, consistent fit. The NUUN 001C dials, found on the 2026 models, are precision-milled from aluminum for strength and minimal bulk. Their aerodynamic shape reduces drag, while SIDI’s integrated handle mechanism allows high-torque tightening when activated. The system also functions seamlessly even when the lever is closed, ensuring a consistent, micro-adjustable fit with every turn.

Complementing this system is , a proprietary SIDI development manufactured from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. Lighter and stronger than steel, Tractis cable is built to perform at the highest level — and to do so reliably over
time. Unlike conventional cable, it degrades gradually rather than failing without warning, giving riders the assurance they need to finish a race or return home without incident.

While the NUUN 001C dials are compact and allow for easy on-bike tightening, I still wished for the loosening capability of a BOA2 dial. The lever on the SIDI dials releases tension completely, so on-bike adjustment would require more tweaking than I’d be comfortable doing at in a packed group.

My Take?

While there are some overall ‘ergonomic’ shortcomings in dialing in the fit of the shoe, once I had everything where I wanted it, the SIDI Shot 3 excelled in overall performance while still providing plenty of comfort for long rides.

If you are looking for that one shoe that can do it all, the Shot 3 is an excellent choice.
