  • Ron

Expanding its trusted range of cycling accessories and solutions, Hutchinson, the French tyre manufacturer, has today launched the . An ultra-compact electric pump, designed for seeking a modern upgrade from traditional hand pumps or CO2 canisters.

Developed with convenience in mind, the FlashAir weighs just 130g and measures 71×45×32mm, sliding easily into a pocket or saddlebag alongside other ride essentials. It features a protective sleeve that absorbs impacts and provides extra grip when in use.

The FlashAir’s digital screen displays real-time and target pressures simultaneously, while an automatic shut-off stops inflation at your target pressure for guaranteed accuracy. Punctures can occur at any time, which is why Hutchinson included a built-in LED light for low-light and night-time repairs. An integrated LED indicator keeps cyclists updated on charge, ensuring they know when to recharge via four settings:

3 : 71%-100%
2 bars: 31% – 70%
1 bar: 5% – 30%
Flashing light: >5% (critically low battery, charging required)

This light also clearly displays the charging progress when plugged in using the the USB-C cable provided:

Solid red light: Charging in progress
Solid green light: Fully charged

For reliability and user , the FlashAir features an overheat system that automatically pauses inflation and displays ‘HOT’ if internal temperatures rise during prolonged use. Additionally, the auto shut-off feature powers the inflator down after three minutes of inactivity to preserve battery life.
