EF Education First adventure cycling pros Alex Howes and Lachlan Morton recently put the new Cannondale Scalpel hardtail through its paces, racing at the Pikes Peak Apex.
If there is any indication that XC riders are starting to see the light on slacker, more forgiving geometry, it might be Cannondale’s recent reboot of their Scalpel HT Hi-Mod XC race bike.

BIKE Magazine recently published their 2017 Bible of Bike Tests. While I was not the least bit surprised that there were no hardtails in the test, I felt the need to call them out on the obvious exclusion.
